Close Encounter Whitetail Outfitters is proud to share with you our passion for growing and managing quality whitetails.  Eric and Jenni Ashcraft look forward to opening our rented cabin up to you again this 2010 season.   We had a great time hosting hunters during the 2009 season and 2010 looks to be even better.  We hunt on over 1,200 acres of private land in Licking, Knox and Coshocton counties in east central Ohio.   Eric has many years of experience managing, filming and hunting big whitetails.  Owner of ALL Outdoors, LLC., Eric and some close friends, Chris Lepley, Owner of Pro-Scent Deer Lures & Erich Long, with Drumming Log Deer Mgmt. Consultants, produced three hunting dvds, Hunting the Heartland series whitetail and turkey, great opportunity to see what kind of quality whitetails you will be hunting, purchase a DVD today! Eric distributes food plot seed and mineral for Heartland Wildlife Institute, while being involved with The Rush Television show airing on the Pursuit Channel 608 at 7:30 pm on Fridays.  He loves his family and the outdoors and enjoys riding atvs, fishing and hunting with his wife and children, singing, attending church, photographing and videoing wildlife.  We are all managers in one way or another, whether it be whitetails or a small business, we need to do our best at managing what God has given to us.   Hope to see you this fall and you better be ready for a Close Encounter with a big whitetail!

Our Business

CEWO of Ohio is a quality deer management practiced outfitter.  We have beeen managing on our respective properties for 8 years now and have an awesome age structure as well as an incredibly friendly and experienced staff.  We enjoy hosting hunters and helping their hunt to be the most successful all around hunt they have ever been on.  Eric is an avid bowhunter and a strategic food plot manager.  He has been in the food plot and deer management business for the past 10 years now and knows how to draw in those big boys from early season to the rut and on into the late season.   You will be impressed at the layout of these incredible hunting properties, we look forward to your hunting with us, book your hunt now. 

Who We Are

We have several team members helping place stands, semi guide the hunters, fix meals, transport hunters, put in food plots and mineral stations, fill feeders, and just make the experience the best that  it can be.  The cabin we have rented for the year is 3000 square foot facility with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and dining area, comfortable living room area with fireplace and a view that will steal your breath.   Pictures of the cabin are now posted in the pictures gallery.   Look forward to seeing you in the months and years to come!!
